Like everything we've created, Formula S2 was born out of necessity. Formulated to give your skin nourishment from the inside out, this delicious blend contains all the scientifically targeted ingredients needed for increased moisture, collagen production, and immune defences.

Marine Collagen Peptides – Marine collagen has a different amino acid profile than other collagens like bovine and seaweed which makes it more effective for skin. Marine collagen is predominantly Type I collagen, the most abundant type found in human skin, whereas other forms of collagen contain a mix of Type I and Type III, making it more suited for general tissue and joint support rather than targeted skin benefits. Hydrolyzed for maximum absorption, these peptides stimulate fibroblast activity, increasing natural collagen synthesis to plump fine lines, boost elasticity, and improve skin firmness. Clinical studies show that marine collagen helps reduce wrinkle depth and enhance skin hydration with continued use. Formula S2 contains the clinically-researched minimum amount of 2.5g per recommended dose, and is a gamechanger for those over 25 (where collagen production starts to decline), those with mature skin and those with dry skin who need more collagen support to stabilise the barrier.

When I work with patients, I'm focused on not just getting their skin clear, but on how they can effectively maintain those improvements in the long-term on their own. When I finish active treatment with my patients, I create a self-management guide for them that covers all my recommendations of what to do to maintain their skin health, and what to do if they experience any flares (based on all I've learnt about them in the process). When I had more of a life, and less businesses to run, I was always so stuck in what to recommend to patients to keep their skin nourished. It needed to be a product that they could purchase without me prescribing it for them, and it needed to contain clinically effective amounts of skin-targeted ingredients.

What I found was... this product didn't exist. I could recommend 2 or 3 different products that would all need to be taken to get the outcome I wanted, but that's a lot to take (and afford) when someone is just wanting to maintain skin health.

All the retail products I found promoted collagen for skin, but it was bovine collagen (which doesn't work on skin, it works on joints and cartilage). Products that said they contained vitamin C contained 3mg, which is less than you get from licking a lemon. Products said that they contained zinc, but the zinc was usually below 5mg, which is less than you get from an oyster; and often the forms of zinc were poorly absorbed forms like zinc oxides, which are designed to pass through the gut and stimulate more of a colonic action. But all these products were happy to be labelled as skin-loving and effective for skin. Appalling!

I had the same problems in trying to find retail omega-3 support (fish oil) that I could recommend for patients.

So, I created what I needed, because that's how passionate I am about not just getting clear skin for patients, but helping them effectively maintain it. And, that passion doesn't end with patients... that passion is there for everyone who has skin problems and hasn't studied biology and nutrition for years and years to know what to use to get the effects they're looking for.
